Reflections

Reflections are quite captivating.  Sometimes you have to look very closely to see where the actual image starts as opposed to its reflection.

Here is a poem written by my friend Tom that was inspired by these photos of reflections:

REFLECTIONS
by Thomas Ventrelli

The pools of light concur
Creating a world of blur
A double if you will
Of colors and life, until
A ripple oh so small
Changes Mother Natures call
And creates another place
A reflections state of grace

The photo below was taken at the little pond area at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery.  This picture almost reminds me of a watercolor painting because of the colors and textures.

This photo was taken at the Clark Botanic Gardens.  The reflection of the trees into the water makes them look like they are upside down.  I really like this effect.  You have to think for a minute to make sure that you are looking at the picture the right way,

I really enjoy taking and looking at pictures of reflections and hope to take more.

Thanks Tom for taking the time to write such a lovely poem!
